I used to identify as one, but I was the typical "self-initiated solitary." Oh,
I had a couple of friends who were properly initiated in Gardnerian and
Alexandrian covens, but that never "clicked" with me. Go figure. I do credit
Wicca with being the gateway to the pantheon of so-called "alternative
religion," and it was my Wiccan friends who told me about Thelema,
Discordianism and "Bob". And once I let Eris into my pants and "Bob" into my
wallet, I came to the realization that searching for the right "label" was a
pointless effort for me-- if it's that important, the "label" will find me.
Still, a good experience, and I still count them among friends, even if I've
continued my search for personal gnosis elsewhere.
