Most people know that. The problem comes when you claim something is made here
that is not.
IIRC, Wal-Mart got in hot water for that a few years ago, so catching flack for
doing it is also now new.

Cannot argue against this. The Clinton's had a plan to offshore a lot of
"dirty" manufacturing. Most people think that was NAFTA but it was actually
after their trip to China and SE Asia that the plan really kicked off. The
other half of the plan was to set up social programs for the "losers" who lost
their jobs. That half never really got done.
A plan that creates a class of "losers" should have been their hint that it
wasn't a good plan.
