I thought I'd explained it before. My wife's family lives there and
she's spent most of her adult life in the states. Now that my parents
have passed, it's important to me that we spend time with her parents
while we can. We're interested in finding a village with a walkable
high street as we retire, as keeping active is an important part of
quality of life, and having a public transit system where you can get
most anywhere without a car will be nice.
I'm living on the California coast, bought when it was cheap(er) and
have a 2.75% 30-year fixed mortgage. I've got it pretty good,
comparatively.
