Got it, so California is not a place in which you can move freely nor keep activ
e easily and therefore moving out is the sensible strategy. (BTW around these pa
rts, if you live in a good place and want to be with your parents, you bring you
r parents to your place instead of going to them).
No shame, I get the same from people from Madrid all the time. They all boast ho
w great Madrid is and how much infrastructure and entertainment they have, then
the moment they can they move out to some redneck Autonomy because nobody who ha
s a choice stays for long.
My Autonomy is one of those cases in which everybody who can flees unless they a
re top 10%, then it is a great place to be. The reason is that doing any sort of
business or getting an ok job is pretty much impossible, but if you are well of
f the natural environment is AAA and social risks (such as getting shot for your
wallet) are negligible because nobody lives here. So obviously we see lots of p
eople laughing at us redneck peasants just days before they get three holiday da
ys and escape their wealthy rich autonomies to enjoy being elsewhere.
BTW UK sends very bad vibes as a retirement destination. When the locals are fle
eing themselves in search for different retirement places that should give you p
ause. Same for California, actually. I know so many people is moving away for a
reason or another and I doubt it is coincidence.
