It's been a while since I used them, but I too liked Blackbox and also Fluxbox
for the same reasons you stated. They are lightweigh and still manage to look
nice and stay out of the way. I'm curious how they are on a laptop. I'm running
a desktop right now and use KDE. Much as I love it, KDE is NOT lightweight LOL.
