Hmmmm... Yeah I can see that it has a long way to go in terms of a modern OS.
However, my impression of that lecture I posted was that Tanenbaum was really
trying to commercialize Minix at least in Europe with the grant he got. Every
part of the OS being modular seemed really fascinating to me especially the
Reincarnation Server.
