Interesting, those two are also my favorite Linux distros. I first used
OpenSuse around 2000-ish (back then, it was just Suse), and I've always really
liked it, since it had a large selection of packages on the installation media
and its configuration tools seemed to work better than most other distros. I
first used Mint last year, with the Cinnamon UI, and I really like it. I just
installed Mint on my BBS machine last weekend after upgrading its RAM from 4GB
to 16GB (although my BBS is still running in Windows XP, now inside a VM on
that machine).
