I have a DV Dongle, works well. While the official "DVTool" software does work
quite well, if you use third party software, you can access more functionality
(DVTool only supports DPlus linking). I'm using ircDDBGateway by G4LKX for
network connectivity with DummyRepeater connected to the dongle to access the
system. DummyRepeater with the DV Dongle looks like an end user radio to the
system, and I can callsign route (to ircDDB users), as well as link using
DPlus, DExtra (XRFnnn), DCS and CCS protocols
... 2 + 2 = 5 for extremely large values of 2.
