I liked how it looked, especially compared to the plain flat appearance of Windo
ws & other operating systems today. But back in the day, I tended to set my Win
dows XP to use the classic Windows theme and disable the new Windows themes serv
ice that Windows XP had. It seemed to me that made it ever so slightly faster.
