Coming up at the end of March is an opportunity to work the 6th most-wanted
DXCC entity, according to the ClubLog DXCC Most Wanted List[1] - Juan de Nova -
a small island located between Mozambique and Madagascar. Last activated in
2003 (TO4E/TO4WW), Juan de Nova is expected to be back on the ham bands as
FT4JA[2], starting on March 29 and continuing through April 11. FT4JA will be
active on 160 through 6 meters (CW, SSW, and RTTY). A "We are Ready" video[3]

Leading up to the Juan de Nova DXpedition, two of its operators, F2DX and
F6BEE, will head to Mayotte Island, which is northeast of Juan de Nova, and be
active as FH/ using their home call signs from March 18-24, on 40 through 6
meters. They welcome reports, since they anticipate similar propagation to what
they will encounter on Juan de Nova. The other eight FT4JA operators will join
them later. Their focus will be on 30, 20, and 15 meters.
The Mayotte Island operators will upload their logs daily to ClubLog, and to
Logbook of The World (LoTW[4]) once they are back in France. Jacques, F6BEE,
said the Mayotte operation will be a way to get ready for the FT4JA DXpedition.
