Da> Ugh, they picked ST:IV for "Favorite Movie". That was arguably only the
Da> third best TOS film. VI: The Undiscovered Country and II: The Wrath of
Da> Khan are far more Trek-like.
I thought Star Trek IV was a fairly good one. And it seemed popular at the
time. They put a lot of humor into it, but when I watched it again not too
long ago, I thought the movie seemed a bit dated now, but still a good one. I
agree though that The Wrath of Khan and Undiscovered Country were great ones.
I saw The Undiscovered Country in theaters, and I seem to remember people
hoping it would be about the discovery of some new region of space or
something and were disappointed when that's not what it was about.. And at
the time, I didn't even realize it was an allegory to the fall of the Soviet
Union. But over the years, I think Undiscovered Country has remained one of
the better Star Trek movies.
Da> And they picked the NCC-1701 refit for "Favorite Ship Design"? No mention
Da> of the Enterprise E, or the extremely awesome Romulan Warbirds?
For a while, the 1701 refit (or 1701-A) was my favorite, at least for the
Enterprise. But I'd say the Enterprise D or E is probably my favorite now.
