>> Favorite omnipotent alien: I agree, although how many omnipotent

Ki> There were plenty of godlike aliens in TOS. Trelane (Squire of Gothos)
Ki> immediately comes to mind. Doing a quick Google search, I see that the

Ki> godlike beings" in Trek:

Ah, interesting.
>> Favorite character fusion: Again, how many character fusions were

Ki> When I wrote this category I also had in mind the end of ST:TMP. when
Ki> V'Ger and Decker merge to evolve into a "higher" life form.
You're right, I had forgotten about V'Ger..
>> A favorite Star Trek movie could be debated forever.. I thought Star

Ki> I like First Contact, but in recent years, I have been convinced by "Red
Ki> Letter Media" that none of the TNG movies really captured the spirit of
Ki> the show. Picard, in particular, was transformed from a deliberate,
Ki> thoughtful, consensus-seaking leader into a vengeful action hero. You
Ki> might enjoy watching RLM's Star Trek reviews:
Ki> http://redlettermedia.com/plinkett/star-trek/
I'll have to check that out. I suppose that review is true, but you could
probably also argue that the TOS movies weren't always the same as the TV show.
A format allows the characters to go on a more wild & grand adventure, whereas
a TV show allows less time for that kind of thing. Star Trek on TV was often
thoughtful and cerebral, but it seems to me that movies tend to be less so.
