I've always heard that the cover was supposed to represent Roger Waters'
growing feeling of isolation from the rest of the band, and even from
fans. He tried to "take charge" of all aspects of that album, and
mostly did. Definitely a great album. Waters eventually left the band
due to clashes with the others, most notably David Gilmour.

Haha, that one is indeed a little different. Interesting for sure, and
I wouldn't list it in their "greatest hits" collection, probably. ;-)
Just in case anyone was wondering, the greatest guitar solo ever played
was done by David Gilmour, on the song "Comfortably Numb". Not on the
studio version of The Wall album, but one of the many live versions,
specifically the one he did in Pompeii, Italy, in 2016. Link below, and
