I have not seen the dropout, though I've been meaning to. I had read about her i
n some magazine article when she was becoming famous around the tech and medical
world, did not know what the end of the story was until I picked up a copy of "
Bad Blood" from the local library (what I assume the dropout was largely based o
ff of.) If you want to never, ever trust what a CEO in silicon valley says ever
again, and generally just be horrified about how gullible those that you would a
ssume are smart enough to pick out a scam artist, you gotta read that book. It s
eems like unless you picked up either that book or the dropout, the news of what
elizabeth holmes and theranos did quickly got wrapped up in the rest of the new
s cycle for most.
