There are historical items, such as the books that are written about
events currently happening to the author, there is symbolism to describe
instances or beliefs, there are parables to explain concepts...
Yes, there are some who believe that everything is a literal
translation...some is, some isn't...some of it depends on the
circumstances that were occurring at the time and the cultural beliefs
of the time period...it can all be adapted to apply today...
imho anyway....
