The difference between Darwinism and Religeon is that there is evidence to
support that the goo was there. The similarity between Darwinism and Religeon
is that people with power have used both with deliberate misinterpretation to
cause great evil and suffering in the world. Somehow people went from Jesus'
teachings of forgiving those who wrong you and actively helping those who are
not your kin or faith (i.e. Samaritans, who were considered the same way by
Nazarenes and Muslims are by the stereotypical US Walmart going pondlife) to
the crusades, to the spanish inquisition, to the burning of heretical
catholics by prodestants in 15th century Britain to shootings between
Catholics and Prodestants in 1980s and 90s Ireland and so on. Someone also
took Darwins "my research suggests that the most adaptable forms of life have
greater probability of passing their genetics" was misinterpreted as "Only
the strong deserve to survive" and created Eugenics, which not only inspired
Mein Campf but also lead to the forced sterilisation of many people around
the world for no reason at all, because it isn't survival of the fittest but
survival of the survivable. Dinosaurs were pretty strong but they got 0wn3d
by a much weaker species because they couldn't adapt.
The long and the short of it is that it doesn't matter whether or not you
believe in it, the best thing to do is agree to disagree, chill out and be
excellent to each other. Not doing that means you are not learning from
history and when the wrong person doesn't do that we are doomed to repeat it.
