Doubleman, that's the clearest message I've seen from you yet, and I applaud
you for it. I understand you have problems, and I don't mean to put you down.
I myself have some mental issues, although they in no way compare to what you
are suffering.
Your previous messages cannot be taken seriously, as they do not measure up
with reality. This is the fundamental nature of schizophrenia, which I'm sure
you are aware of.
With that said, if you truly see God in unusual ways, good for you. Ignore
what we say, and continue your messages. At the very least, they are
entertaining and sometimes thought provoking.
As for your medical team, I'm assuming you've communicated your dissatisfaction
of your treatment with your doctors. Also, from a previous message, I got the
impression you are currently on an involuntary inpatient treatment program.
With this being the case, I believe you should have a secondary channel to
bring your concerns to; kind of like an appeals process. You should ask to
speak with the person responsible for patient complaints, whatever they're
called in your institution and/or county/state.
Perhaps you can request a second opinion from someone either inside or outside
of your particular institution. In any case, most doctors and psychiatrists
will listen to their patients if they feel they are not on appropriate
medications. However, from what I understand, there are some forms of
schizophrenia which are particularly severe, usually resulting from a physical
impairment of the brain, either inherited from birth or from trauma to the
head, and medication alone will not alleviate all symptoms. It can take many
years of therapy to become functional in life, in this case, and ongoing
therapy, with occasional relapses with more inpatient treatment.
Hope all this helps some...most of you you probably already know, but I
sincerely hope you and your team can find a good combination of drugs to help
clear up your thinking even more.
